Cheeeeeeeeese!

Kylie is turning into quite the little ham. A long time ago, she learned the meaning of the word "cheese" when we want to take a picture of her and she always gives us a big smile right away. Well a couple days ago, I was taking her picture on my phone and I said "cheeeeeese!" Kylie immediately tilted her head slightly, closed her eyes tight, squinched her nose, and gave me the biggest, cheesiest smile. Ever since then, whenever we say "cheeeese" and have the camera ready, she assumes this same pose. I don't know where she learned this but it is hillarious!

We've Got Company!

Grandma Sherri came to visit this week and we have been having so much fun! Kylie loves playing with her Grandma and getting so much cuddly love, and I think Grandma likes it too... While she has been here, my mom has been helping me get started on my very first "Kylie Dress!" We finished it just in time for Kylie to wear it to church today. Unfortunately, it's a little big, but we just put a cardigan over it and no one could tell. It is, of course, lots of pink and lots of poof and such a pretty princess dress- perfect for our little KyKy. We were so excited about how it turned out, last night we went out to buy more fabric to make 2 more! So Fun! As soon as Kylie wakes up from her nap we are going to take some pictures of her in her new dress, So I'll be posting those later. It's been so fun having Grandma here and we can't wait to spend another two whole days with her!

An Evening Stroll

The weather has been so nice lately. Whenever it starts to warm up like this Mike gets antsy and excited and wants to get out of the house and go on an evening walk. Kylie absolutely loves sitting in her stroller in the big-girl seat. She kicks and giggles and talks the whole way! When we got home from our walk today, we wheeled the stroller into the house with Kylie still sitting in her seat. She looked out the window, then looked at us, confused and then a little sad that our walk had ended. She's so cute!

Spring is Here!

One of the reasons we are starting to really enjoy Arkansas: it was between 78 and 82 degrees today! Beautiful sunshine skies and no humidity! What a wonderful day it was! We went out and about wearing our short sleeves, basking in the warm sunshine, and loving every minute of it! I bet you wish you were here...




Kylie's photo-shoots have become much more exciting since she has discovered how to get around. Today, she started sitting up and then decided she wanted to lay down, then she flipped herself over and shimmied her way to the middle of the bed on her tummy. She's getting so versatile with her posing :)

Family Yearbook!

For a while now, I've been wanting to put our family blog into a book for the year 2008. Well, I found a website (Blurb.com) that publishes high quality books and finally took the time to put it all together. It got here last week and we just love it! It is so neat to have a tangible version of our family "yearbook." I am definitely going to make one of these every year! What a great family treasure!


I'd like to say that we've been so busy that we've had no time to update our blog... that's not the case. We just haven't been doing anything too exciting. I'd also like to finally announce that we got the house... that hasn't happened either. We still haven't gotten an answer from the investor. It's a short sale property so it's a little more complex than a regular home sale, but we never anticipated having to wait almost 3 weeks for an answer. The good thing is, our offer was approved by the bank, we just need the okay from the owner/investor. He should be making a decision on Friday (but we've heard that before...). We've still got our fingers and toes crossed :)
