Mother's Day 2010

May 14, 2010

My Mother's Day was absolutely perfect in every way because I got to spend the day with my two (and a half) favorite people. I woke up to the door squeaking as Kylie pushed her way into our room and then, "Mama?" as she threw her Kitty and Monkey onto my side of the bed. (Ever since she moved to her big girl bed and learned how to open her bedroom door, my favorite part of the day is when Kylie comes in to say good morning.) We got up and ready for church while Mike made me a wonderful breakfast of french toast with strawberries- YUM! Then he spoiled me with chocolates, flowers, and a book by President Uchtdorf that I had mentioned wanting months before. (So thoughtful!) We spent the morning at church and then came home for some lunch and a nice long nap for the whole family! Mike made a fantastic dinner and we spent the rest of the day playing in the backyard. I have the best family in the whole world and feel so blessed to be the mother of such an amazing little girl. Kylie is the light of my life and I am so glad I get to be her Mommy. And I am so happy that another little princess is coming to our family soon! There is nothing better in the world than being able to be a wife and mother!

This is why I love my life!
Playing with Daddy's ring.

Blowing grass whistles with Mommy.
Well, Mommy is blowing and Kylie is just doing a high pitched scream into her hands.
She loves her Na.

Mike took Kylie to the store to pick out a gift just for Mommy this year. She picked out a purple heart balloon and this Winnie the Pooh card- two of her favorite things. It melted my heart!

I also love hearing little footsteps come in to snuggle with me first thing in the morning.

Great gift from Mike! I love it when you mention something offhand and they remember and get it for you months later, by which time you've maybe forgotten completely that you wanted it in the first place, and then you're really excited about them know "just what I wanted!"
