A Very Merry Half-Birthday!

Kylie turned 6 months old a couple days ago. It's nuts! We celebrated with a little family party. Well, by party, I mean we made a cake and then ate it... and it was yummy! She went to the pediatrician yesterday and had her 6 month "Well Baby" checkup. She is healthy as can be and we are thrilled about that! She was also weighed and measured, and here are her stats:

Age: 6 months 1 day
Weight: 18 lbs 13 1/2 ounces=93rd percentile
Height: 27 1/2 inches= 95th percentile
Head Circumference: 18 inches= >95th percentile




Kylie has recently learned that she can get our attention if she makes enough noise. We tested this a couple days ago. Mike and I both stood in front of her and then turned around so we had our backs to her. After just a second she made a little noise to get us to pay attention to her, and we did nothing. Then she made the noise a little louder and then a little louder. We turned around and she started giggling. She also likes to test how loud she can get. She will yell as loud as she can and then start laughing hysterically. It's cute to see her learn to use her voice and see how excited she gets when she discovers something new.
