Sleeping Beauty

October 19, 2008

It's (semi) Official! Kylie is sleeping through the night. Well... the last two nights she slept for a full 8 hours! What a blessing! She has been going to bed at about 9:00 and then waking up around 6 or 6:30. Now all Mike and I have to do is go to bed the same time she does...

In other news: We went on our very first all-day family outing on Saturday. We spent the day in Branson, Missouri. It was alot of fun. I was pretty nervous about how the day was going to go with feeding and diaper changes and naps. Kylie is definitely more comfortable with all of those when she is in the comfort of her own home, but she did surprisingly well, considering. We only had a couple grumpy moments but luckily we spent most of the day surrounded by stores with dressing rooms that provided us with a break from the chaos of people everywhere.

We started our adventure in Branson at quite possibly the worst restaurant we have ever been to. The food was horrible, the service was not great, the atmosphere was less than desirable and everyone in there smelt like they had just gotten back from their cigarette break. Why did we eat there, you may ask? Because we wanted to find a great hole-in-the-wall place that would just knock our socks off... that didn't quite happen... but it's a memory nonetheless. After our breakfast/lunch we went over to the outlet mall and did a little shopping. It was so busy and crazy but expected with only a couple months till Christmas. After the outlets we went down to Branson Landing which is a shopping center/boardwalk right on the river. It was neat. We finished the night with Joe's Crab Shack!!! It was great food, but again, bad service. Still, we had crab so there is really nothing to complain about.

We had a great day and made some fun memories of our first family day-trip. Here are some pictures from the end of our night.

Daddy and Kylie getting so excited for some crab. Mike later told me he likes crab but doesn't think it's worth the effort or the price... but he still took me there because he knows I love it, what a sweetie!

yum

Too bad we aren't in focus...

One last burping before we headed home.

These are from a few days ago. She was being such a little ham!

Trying to get a better look at the camera.
