and an Auntie too...


We have been so blessed to have such an amazing family! Grandma Sherri and Auntie Jenni have been here since the day Kylie came home from the hospital and they will be here until her blessing in church on the 7th of September. They have been such an amazing help this entire time, cooking and cleaning and helping with little missy. Grandpa Terry (T) came to see us in the hospital the day after Kylie was born. He was here Wednesday through Thursday and Kylie just loved spending time with him. Grandma Linda also got to come visit. She was able to find a last minute flight and spend a week with us. Soon we will also have Grandpa Andy, Grandpa Don, Grandma Tracy, and Aunt Katie here to visit.

Happy One-Week Birthday, Kylie!

Yesterday our family celebrated Kylie's one-week-birthday. It is amazing how fast time is going by. Even more amazing is how much she has grown and changed. She is such a good baby. She sleeps and eats well and is very healthy. She had her first pediatrician's appointment on Monday and he said she is doing great! She has already gained an ounce within the first week (most babies lose weight and it takes two weeks to gain it back). We always said she was an overachiever :) We are just amazed at the joy that she has brought to our home. We thought we were happy before, but now we are experiencing a whole new level.

Kylie Elizabeth Kirby

Mama Erica in the Hospital after being induced, about noon 8/19/2008


At 6:56pm on August 19, 2008 Kylie was born weighing 8 pounds 15 ounces. Right when the nurses got her on this table to clean her, she relieved herself. Otherwise, she would have been well over 9 pounds.


She was pretty confused with all the bright lights and talking.

Kylie seemed to like life in the womb a little better than what she was experiencing at this point.
